Vodafone Giving NHS and Care Workers Unlimited Data For 6 Months

NHS workers and vulnerable customers can now get unlimited mobile data on Vodafone free for six months

The UK’s care workers are now also eligible to claim the offer too.

The original offer from Vodafone, announced back in April, offered 30 days of unlimited free data for NHS staff, vulnerable customers and half a million Pay Monthly mobile customers.

The offer of free unlimited data will be valid for six months from the data of redemption. Vodafone will give the offer to all NHS staff and the first 250,000 care workers who apply. The offer will be open for applications until 6th June 2020.

Unlimited free data can be useful at times like this when staying in touch is even more important. Even though people may not use masses of data, it’s the peace of mind it brings that you’re not going to run out of data during this time. The data can be used for all the usual mobile services, such as video calling, streaming entertainment or just surfing the web.

Care workers who are Vodafone Pay Monthly customers can redeem the unlimited data offer by going to Vodafone’s website and entering their employer’s name and address as well as their email address. Anyone working for the NHS, but who isn’t registered as such with Vodafone, will need to enter their NHS email address. Once the details are validated by Vodafone, they will be automatically upgraded to the offer and notified. Vodafone will be automatically provisioning the Pay Monthly customers it already has listed as working for the NHS or flagged as vulnerable in its systems. These customers will be notified by text message.

Vodafone UK Chief Executive Officer Nick Jeffery said: “We are so pleased to be able to extend our original offer for NHS workers and our vulnerable customers, and to be able to now add care workers in recognition of the amazing contribution they’re making at this time. We will continue to do what we can to say thank you to those on the front lines doing such valuable work in this crisis.”
