Remember when it was just Apple, Samsung, Sony, LG, Motorola and Nokia? Since then, a whole host of new smartphone manufacturers have joined the party, including Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi, Oppo and of course, OnePlus. OnePlus have just announced the launch date for their new flagship, the OnePlus 7 and it’s arriving on May 14.
OnePlus has a huge fan following who will be pleased to know that they have announced a launch event for May 14 called ‘Go Beyond Speed’. The event will run at three separate locations globally simultaneously, ensuring a truly worldwide launch event.
The first event will be taking place at London’s Printworks at 16:30 BST. Direct Mobiles will have all the latest news and updates from that event.
The others events are taking place in New York and Bangalore. OnePlus are also running an event in Bejing a few days later on May 16.
The launch events are of course open to the press, but OnePlus is also inviting members of the public to attend. Tickets to the London event are available to buy at OnePlus.com now, starting at £16 each.
Of course, OnePlus will also be streaming the event live on OnePlus.com so you can watch the announcement from the comfort of your sofa.
Nothing has been formally announced yet about the OnePlus 7, but rumours are flying around as usual, with suggestions that the phone will include 5G, a curved display and a pop-up camera.
The OnePlus 7 launch events worldwide will be held in:
- Printworks, London, UK – Starts 4pm BST, May 14
- Pier 94, New York, USA – Starts 11am EDT, May 14
- BIEC, Bangalore, India – Starts 8:15pm IST, May 14
- Yanqi Lake, Beijing, China – Starts 2pm PST, May 16
