Nothing Phone (1) Will Be Unveiled On July 12th

The first smartphone from the new phone manufacturer, led by ex-OnePlus boss Carl Pei.

After months of cryptic tweets and hints, Nothing has confirmed that its first mobile phone will be officially revealed on July 12th 2022 (4pm BST / 11am ET / 8am PT / 1am AEST).

Phone fans have been eagerly awaiting the official unveiling of the phone, particularly as the brand has promised to inject some fresh excitement into the mobile phone market.

The event is taking place in London, England but viewers can sign up to watch the action streamed online.

Nothing has already released a few details about their first phone. Phone (1) will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, run on Nothing OS and feature a recycled aluminium mid-frame. Wireless charging will also be supported, but it’s unconfirmed whether they’ll do away with a charging port altogether.

The company has raised $144m and built a team of 300 people to enable the build and launch of the phone, and UK networks including O2 have already pledged their support for the device.

Despite the event announcement confirming a July date, a mysterious ‘see you tomorrow’ tweet came from Nothing this morning. We presume that they will be showing the phone on June 15th and then give a full product tour at the July event.
