Nintendo’s Next Mobile Game Is Arriving In July

The doctor will see you now.

Nintendo is betting big on mobile gaming to help introduce a new audience to their consoles. With the release of Super Mario Run, Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem, the next Nintendo game is set to join the party in just a few weeks when Dr. Mario World arrives for iOS and Android phones. It’ll arrive before Mario Kart World Tour which is also coming in 2019.

We’ve seen a new trailer of the game in action today which has a few differences compared to the Dr. Mario you may remember from the GameBoy days.  You’ll still be matching medicine capsure colours but instead of falling Tetris-style, the pills in Dr. Mario World float upward. You’ll also be equipped with a variety of power-ups and items to help you get through each stage.

In addition to Mario, there are a few other familiar faces joining the medic crew in the form of Dr. Peach, Dr. Toad, Dr Yoshi and Dr. Bowser, each with their own set of unique skills and powers.

You can pre-order Dr. Mario World from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store now. It’s free-to-play but will have payment options for extra gameplay time or power-ups. There will be five worlds available to play in at launch with Nintendo adding more at a later date.
