The Very Latest Rumours (and Pictures) on the iPhone 6

Our countdown to the release of surely the most hotly awaited iPhone continues. We’ve only got a few more weeks to wait until we can get our mitts on the new iPhone 6 (we hope). As the press go into overdrive, we bring you the very latest rumours and gossip surrounding Apple’s flagship smartphone with reports that 80 million handsets are being manufactured to meet expected demand over the next few months.

There’s been a lot of speculation concerning the design of the iPhone 6, photos have been loaded onto the web which could hint at the slimness of the handset. The iPhone 5S measured 7.6mm thin but we could see an even slimmer iPhone 6 at only 7mm.

Leaked pictures appearing very recently indicate that the iPhone 6 will be Apple’s curviest smartphone yet. Images of the smaller of the two iPhone 6 models show some very curved corners, the last iPhone with this feature was the iPhone 3GS.

As we’ve reported over the last few weeks, the Apple logo may move to the rear cover of the iPhone 6. It could also be charged wirelessly. More images have also surfaced which allude to the glass screen gently sloping towards the rounded corners.

A possibly new feature is being touted for the iPhone 6, it could be the first iPhone to come with a fully reversible USB lightening cable. Basically the lightening cable can be attached to your PC or laptop using either of the ends.

Speculation has also suggested that the iPhone 6 will boast an upgraded modem which will support quicker LTE speeds and will boost the iPhone 6’s performance.

It’s all very exciting but we don’t need to wait much longer to see if speculation will turn into fact – the iPhone 6 is expected to be launch on 9th September.
