iOS 15.3 Includes an Important Security Update For iPhone Users

No new features, but still very much worth installing now.

Apple have released iOS 15.3 and there are no exciting new features included but it does correct one important security flaw which means you should install it as soon as you can.

The official release notes state: “iOS 15.3 includes bug fixes and security updates for your iPhone and is recommended for all users.”

It should come in at less than 1GB and is available for iPhone and iPad users. The biggest fix included corrects a significant security vulnerability in Safari that could expose browser history and Google IDs to websites.

This is despite the previous updates Apple made to Safari to reduce the amount of user data tracked when visiting websites.

Safari for iPhone

Head to Settings on your iPhone, then General > Software Update, and you should see the update available for download. Once installed, your phone will reboot and hopefully that fixes the Safari bug keeping us all that little bit safer online.

Apple is also releasing software updates for the Apple Watch, Apple TV, HomePod and Mac users this week.
