If you’re a Direct Mobiles customer you can start feeling a bit smug as EE have just been announced as the ‘UK’s Best Mobile Operator’.
EE, the pioneers of 4G, came top of a rigorous study by industry specialists RootMetrics – in fact, they scooped first place in every category tested. There were 5 categories which are put to the test by RootMetrics and these included Network Reliability, Network Speed, Mobile Internet Performance and, of course, Calls & Texts. In order to ensure the tests were comprehensive, locations were checked and tested all over the UK with over 920,000 different tests performed between January and June this year.
In three of the categories, EE achieved around 90 points and when the results were collated into Overall Performance, EE were almost 4 points ahead of their nearest rival Three. O2 were placed third overall and in fourth place and propping up the bottom of the table were Vodafone.
EE have also proved that they are consistent as they also topped the table in the last study which took place in the last 6 months of 2013.
